Sapphire 0.3 for K2 Wordpress Theme

I’ve updated my Sapphire adaptation for the new K2 v0.9.6 release.

Wordpress Theme: Sapphire Style for K2 in action (v0.3)

Sapphire 0.3 is now compatible with K2 sidebars, which mean that the header and footer of the theme will be expanded or reduced according to the number of sidebars. To achieve this flexibility, I had to redo all images included in the original Sapphire theme. All Inkscape and Gimp source files can be found in the “sources” folder of the Sapphire v0.3 zip file. This total rework also mean that I no longer use any file or code from the legacy sapphire theme.

This theme is great, I’ll be using it on a new blog soon. I’ve actually been waiting for you & K2 to update before I setup this new blog - so cool :)

Nice theme, but I noticed it doesn’t respect my own header images.

I noticed it doesn’t respect my own header images.

Can you send me a screenshot of the theme with you header images, descibe me the problem and the behaviour you expect from the theme ? This will help me to understand the issue and fix it.

BTW, it seems that someone managed to use custom headers with my theme…

Yes, I managed, It’s quite easy to replace the image on the sapphire css page, and this is a very nice style.

But I’m having trouble with the sidebar modules: I’m running a nwe installation of WP 2.2.1 and Sapphire 0.3 with K2 096 (all of them new, then), but when I try to add a new (a second) sidebar module, it renames the previous module with the same name of the last added, so I have two sidebar modules with the same name. If I remove one of them (both have the same name), all of them dissappear.

Any idea of where the error might be? (I have the K2 sidebar/widgets workaround plugin activated, of course).

I’m having trouble with the sidebar modules

Can you reproduce it with the default K2 style ? If so, then the problem is related to K2 itself and the most appropriate place to talk about this issue is K2 forum.

    Haima,
The problem you are having is actually a problem with K2 v0.9.6. Check their support forums for the fix. I think it was supplied by a power user with the name Venii.

Like this theme a lot, and I’ll definitely be using it with my blog … many thanks! One question, though: I noticed that there is no display of authorship for pages and/or posts, it just denotes the categories and posting time. Is there any way to remedy this?

Will this scheme work for the last version of K2 (RC3)?
